மாசிகை (Masikai)

Masikai (Ink Nut / Terminalia Chebula) is a sacred and traditional spiritual herb widely used in Hindu poojas, homams, abhishekams, and temple rituals. It holds an important place in Muniswarar, Amman, Murugan, Ayyappan poojas, and certain sacred ceremonies.

Its natural aroma and spiritual essence are believed to purify the space, remove negative energies, and bring health, peace, and divine blessings. It’s also used in thiruneer preparation, as a naivedyam item, and offered in homa fires.
